For my project, I created a 5"x7" card. Both envelopes were cut from the Cricut Wild Card cartridge at 3.9" and 3.5" respectively and the scalloped heart was cut from the Sweethearts cartridge at 2.5".

Okay so with the holidays over and the new year here, it's time for more projects. Some things I have lined up are some Valentines projects, I need to make a Christmas scrapbook page for 2011's Christmas day. I also may make a Happy new year page. I want to make Kathy's matchbook albums, one for each of my kids. (themed for them) I am feeling a bit ill this week. I have caught a cold apparently. It sucks even more for me because I am back on my HCG protocol for the new year. I am trying to meet my ultimate weight loss goal for 2012. (135) I really hope I can keep motivated and do this. weight loss is very difficult. (very mentally challenging) I have been working on my S*M*A*S*H book. I did add a section to my smash about my diet. My life isn't real exciting lately so there isn't much to scrap or smash about. I hope to be in the 145's for May, that will be the month of my 11 year anniversary. YAHHH! I hope you all had a fabulous holiday and a great New year.

Homemade Smash book.

Not to shabby for my 1st ever homemade Smash book. I was not sure the direction I wanted to take this in but it started coming together. I might add a few more pockets to it later but for now it's okay. I started off with an idea of how I wanted the outside to look, then I made my front cover, this took the longest due to drying time. I have some Tim Holtz stamps that haven't had much use so I decided to break them out and see what could be done with them. :-) I am over all happy with my book, I have never seen a "real" one in "real" life only on the net. **I will say I did order a set from J's as they are 40% of right now and there is a free shipping code** I am super excited about them. One will be a gift for my 14 yr old DD. :-) She liked the idea and wanted to make one after seeing mine. She is VERY artsy. I knew she would like it but she has NO CLUE she is getting a "REAL" one for Christmas. Since money is still really tight around here from Joe's layoff. We want see any real relief until February, so we are having what I call a tiny Christmas. :-) and that is perfectly okay.

So back to my book, I made some little thing to go with it. They kinda match kinda don't it's a real modge podge of stuff. Pretty eclectic. :) I will show these things in my next blog post, right now I will keep focus on the book itself. I did my binding with o-rings and duck tape. I wanted that look of the "real" smash books. Where the o-rings are hidden inside. I achieved this by adding a 1/2 size chipboard to the front and back and glued it to the cover and back. Then I used Duck tape for the spine. It works great! I love it. The looks are limitless with this. :-)

So I couldn't get all the picture to align right but the video had everything in it. I hope you enjoyed todays posting. :-)

SMASH BOOK on the way.

I started yesterday and I am using my Imagine for some of the paper and the little inserts and tabs. I made my cover out or 8.5X11 chipboard. I will also binding my book with my BIA zutter. You won't be able to see my rings on the outside of the book as it will look just like the original smash book. :-) I am using duck tape for the spine. My book is going to be a modge podge of "stuff" I will add some lined paper and sketch paper too. That is the plan i hope to be done with pic this weekend.

I used glad tidings piece of paper left over from my occasions folio, Tim Holtz glassine paper, Distress inks in various colors, black and red cardstock, sizzix emboslette snowflake, Tim Holtz script and flourish stamp, various dollar Christmas stamps, and embossing powders in various colors. Red gemstones from dollar spot and glimmer most in various colors.

Winter Wonderland 12x12 LO.

Excited to have my "G" back, I decided with the cooler weather it was time to do a winter LO. I got an idea in my head got my "G" out and started looking at the winter carts I loaded up. (Took me 4 hours to get all my carts on my "G" last time, so I only loaded my winter/Christmas ones so far.) I used Christmas solutions, winter frolic and winter woodland for my LO. I don't know what sizes my cuts are as i just sized them on my "G" and if it looked good I kept it. I didn't fuss to much over these pages. It normally take me a week to plan and cute and assemble my pages, I did this LO in one day from start to finish. I have a secret* to tell let see if you can tell after my pix are posted. :-)

supplies used in the LO are: cricut, gypsy, the new DCWV winter magic stack (for matts and base pages) pro markers, the winter set of Tim Holtz distress ink, colored cardstock,white zig pen, studio G tinsel glitter, glossy accents, atg, quick dry glue, peachy king stamps, and glimmer mist.

* I used white paper to cut, boy, girl, all animals and hat and scarfs then colored them with promarkers because I did't want to take the time to sort through paper and decided what color to make them. After the were cut I left them on the mat and colored them right up, took my zig pen and make them cute. Stamped faces on them and i loved how they turned out.

Walmart Haul.....

Just got back from Walmart, ran down there to see what the new Christmas stuff from Studio G. I grabbed the things I wanted and the rest I will pick up after Christmas when they put it on sale. I got some of the Halloween rubber stamps for .24 cents. I got a pack of paper, 2 stickers sets, 2 brad sets, 9 stamp sets and some punches. I love how walmart is on board with the cheaper lines that are good quality. Here are some pictures of the things I picked up today. :-)

Occasions folio Christmas....

Well 2 days later here I am done.......what a project....I am glad to be done but am considering another. I used so MUCH scor-tape. :-( I really need to buy more but can't right now because my hubby is still fighting the job market. So this project was made with my stash. I used k and company glad tidings for the paper line. I backed everything with kraft cardstock. :-) It's turned out pretty good. I used hard ware from hobby lobby and hot glued it on. )hope it holds) Got my magnets from the home improvement store. :-) they are fairly strong but still won't hold the whole thing. You can find this project here. So I attempted to take photos and a video. This project expands to a pretty big size.

My 1st ever Tag Swap....

I admit I was a little intimidated at first. I have always watched people do the swaps but I sometimes have trouble with commitment, being afraid that I won't be able to complete the swap or my "project" won't be up to standards. :-( It's something I wanted to do and was interested in. So when I saw the swap posted on Kathy's ning site (http://paperphenomenon.blogspot.com/ ) I thought about it and sat on the fence and decided to take the plunge hoping it would be a smaller swap than normal. Thinking I would be so over whelmed if there were more than 10 tags to make. :-) Turns out there are 6 of us. YAHHH! So the very same day the swap closed I started thinking about a designs and what direction I wanted to take these tags in. :-) I did a little practice run with a "girl" image. :-) I loved it. I also thought I had #8 tags on hand they turned out to be #4. ARGH! So I decided to open my deep cut blade for my cricut and try it out with some chipboard that was in my Walmart Halloween paper packaging. It wasn't to think or to thin...just right. So I broke out a brand new mat and inserted the deep cut blade and it cut it like butter......WOW! Why did I wait so long?
So, now I have my 6 tags cut from light weight chip board...pondering what to do next it came to me...Why not use the backgrounds from the same card my "girl" image came from. I looked at it and decided to use the snowflake BG it wouldn't clash with the image and it worked perfectly. I keep adding and adding things until I had what I thought was a pretty decent looking tag. :-)

List if items used in making these tags- light weight chipboard, tag bags boxes and more cart, cuttlebug snow flake folder, marshmallow glimmer mist, atg gun, snow angel imagine cart girl image cut at 5.5, the blue snowflake BG printed on 2 sheets of white paper, foam double sided adhesive, Sentiment cut out with elegant edges and printed with snow angel BG, stamped with dollar stamp from J's, i-rock clear stones and blue metallics. Time holtz destress inks, broken china and (my hubby got me the winter set for my birthday,which in on NOV 6th) festive berries.

These will be placed in cellophane bag and tied with bakers twine. :-) I really hope the ladies like them.

Fall treats and box to compliment it..

Yesterday I was feeling happy...I made some buck eyes. I have had these yummy treats..they are so good. I decided to make some myself. I used the recipe here. I used sweet treat boxes for my treat box. Box #9. I also used fall and night recollections stack. I made the for Joe it's his 1st week back to work coming off a 6 month layoff.

This box recommend cut is 9.75 but the layer 1 will not cut at that size. I called pc to let them know. I cut this box at 8 inches.

Gypsy, I miss you already..

Well, this is my 2ed time sending my "G" back to PC. The 1st time was like 2 months ago and now last week the brand new one they sent me got pretty pink pixels all over the screen, well they since faded but now about every 10th time I got to add something to the mat I get strange lines all over the mat randomly. GRRR, so I called and they sent me a label and off it will go tomorrow. HOW SAD! I am already missing my G because I have several projects planned. I am terrified to use CCR because last time it CRASHED my "Imagine" and well I just rather wait until we are out of beta. So I guess I will start my Christmas cards early and put my fall stuff on the back burner, so when you see FALL projects in DEC you will understand why...I really need my "G" to make my pumpkin patch LO. Tomorrow I will share my owl treat boxes that I made. I saw this on a blog a while back and thought that is cute, then I forgot about it until Kathy made her very CUTE bat. I decided to make pillow boxes for my girls. :-) SO I will find the blog I saw this on. Hopefully It won't be to hard and I will share my owls.

Finished Shadow box frame...

So, if you haven't read yesterdays bog it's part 1 of this posting. I rounded the top and set out to do a trial finished version. I am quite pleased with outcome. I will be working on a landscape version next. I see all sorts of home decor and other uses for this file. ( again the original die cost $165.00 retail) I'll stick with my knock off. Why can't cricut make things like this for us... ;-)

Here is my recipe for this piece : Gypsy, Paper was bought in the dollar spot at target, as was the moon and cat piece. The tags are from recollections, the glittering is recollections and Martha, the flocking (on bubbles) is from studio g, inked with Tim Holtz inks and everything else was cut from my cricut. (also used simply scarecrow for the tree)

So I saw this Die that shall remain nameless and I fell in LOVE with it, but it's $165.00 (some of you may know which one I am referring to) As most of you know I can't cut that right now so I grabbed my "G" and went to work designing. Since this post I am tweaking it some more. I am new to this type of designing but most things are created out of "NEED" right?. So here is my project; it's a bit rough but the ideal is taking shape...

Here is a LO I have been working on and tweeking for a little while now. I will also have a video discovery of my findings while crating this LO. I used DCWV ghost and goblins stack and colored cardstock. I used a sankura white gel pen and I inked with Tim Holtz inks. I also glittered some of the elements on the frames with Martha Stewart glitter. I used Cricut Happy Haunting cart. I really wanted to add some lil trick or treaters and the moon but decided against it after all was laid out. So here is my Halloween Lo. I may make a pumpkin patch LO next. :-) We are making our 2ed trip to the apple orchard. :-) I can't wait to go. I <3 it there. Isn't FALL great.

Part 1 Disney friends mini album...

It's a work in progress: I like to take you through my projects as I do them. My plans for Disney is to give each set of characters their own mini album. Like the princess will have a book of their own and Pixar ect ect....

So I am working on Mickey and friends right now and I have set in my craft room ALL day....no house work for me today, not even dinner. :) (I had cereal) So like I said it's a work in progress but I got the pages built and matted and I have the pockets glued in place. Next step in to make a few more characters, another pop up page, tags made out of mickey heads and the cover. I have about 2 more days of work on this book. :-) It's going to be well worth it. I hope it turns out they way it looks in my head. :)

Here is my LO for this challenge: and some pictures of my process. :-)

Recipe for this Lo is as follows-

Base Paper is DCWV Garden Party

The strips are cut form DCWV Whimsy

The green cardstock is textured DCWV lime green

The ribbon is satin cream spritz with gilmmer mist and stamped with dollar stamps from J's

The Title is cut form the same green cards stock and glittered with MS Pink glitter

The Tag was also from the dollar spot at J's

The flower was stamped on some cream cards stock punched out into a scallop circle. I colored the rose stamp

with my pro markers. I also stamped inside the square with stamps from the dollar spot.

Tim Holtz bird card...a little stamping!

I was thrilled to get my hot little hands on Lori's Garden for my Cricut "I" and I couldn't wait to make something with it and when i sat down with something in mind my project took over a life of it's own. :-)
You know how these things can just happen. LOL! So I made a card base and used my cloud corner chomper on all 4 sides, then I used my elegant edges cart to make a cute shape with a boarder, using Lori's garden to flood fill my images. While those were cutting I inked my base and stamped a nice background. :-) then I glued down the back image and stamped it with Tim Holtz bird stamp, crown and sentiment. I then glued down the top of the frame and popped an identical one right on top. Finished and easy and simple as pie. :-)

Back pack mini for a butterfly loving little angel.....

Here is a Backpack mini I just finished. ( well assembled not finished because I still need to add the tags. :-) isn't that the way) I used pink celebration bags and pink cardstock. The paper line for this was an old blossom and butterfly 8x8 stack I had left over from a couple years back, thought this would be a perfect match. I was right it was. I love the end result. I added a silver dangle butterfly charm to the front pocket of this album just for a special little touch. I just acquired a corner chomper that I pan on using for my tag and inserts. I know this one is going to finish up beautifully. I plan on using this book for my little Alijah who is 5 years old, she is just so carefree and this is the perfect album for her.

Part 2 of my creative Process...bless this Nest LO

So I used 8 Cricut Carts for this LO. :-) I changed it a few times during the process and even changed it back once. LOL! The Carts used for this LO are as follows ; Sweethearts (house and Title) Celebrate with Flourish (cloud w/sun) Create a Critter (clouds, postage stamp photo mats) Bloom (tree) My community (fence) Everyday paper Dolls (grass) Sugar and Spic (kite and wagon) A childs year (cat) Nate's ABC's (bird in nest).

                         I used color cardstock from my paper studio, Also some of my prints were printed from the Imagine. (I didn't keep track of what carts I printed from it was a few of them) I made 5x5 blocks. :-) The background Paper was printed from best friends "I' art cart.

                         Items used are as follows ; Sankura white gel pen, Tim Holtz distress ink, q-tips,pro markers, atg gun, wet scotch quick dry glue, glimmer mist and foam double sided adhesive to make it POP! :)

So here is what is looks like all together. :) I am very happy with the outcome of this page.

Aspiring to be a GREAT scrapbooker....

   Some people have natural talent. I how ever do not. I must plan and think and work at my pages. They use to flow pretty easy but they weren't at a level that I would like to be at. So today I am going to take you through what I go through to get a page complete.

              Step 1 is usually to go though my carts and decide on a Lo theme.

              Step 2 is to sketch it out on paper to see what placement for my photos and cuts and to determine size of my cuts.

             Step 3 is to pull out my Gypsy and place it in a LO and to see how it looks and move around anything that need rearranging. :-)

           Step 4 is to make a list of my cuts and decide on a colors and prints. I also add cart names to this list.

          Step 5 is to pull out my paper and cut it to the size I need and lay it out on the mat and make the cuts.

         Step 6 is to glue my cuts and distress, emboss and ink them

        Step 7 is add them to the page and layer them with love

        Step 8 is to add finishing touches to the page like faux stitching and anything I think I should do to make it special.

     My pages are a work in progress and it take a lot of love and effort to grow in this paper art. Just feel the page and try things you never know whats going to turn out.

So I have put about 3 days or so of planning my page and about 1 day of cutting and assembling my cuts. I then spent about 15 mins gluing everything down. :-) I am feeling a little better so I hung out all day in my craft room.

So here are a few photo's of my creative process.

Tomorrow I will post the LO that I working on and give the recipe for it. :-)

Okay so I haven't Digi scrapped in over a year now. I burned myself out on working very hard for a wonderful site plain digital wrapper, the gals over there are the most sweetest you'll find any where, they are like an extended family. :-) I am VERY thankful for my time over there.

With that being said I have tried out a new program My memories suite and it's new and different than what I am used to working with. (photoshop) I have created my 1st page and it's not spectacular but it was fast and it is complete. So I am pretty happy with the out come. Had I taken my time on it I am sure it could have been outstanding. :-) so here is my page for today. I am sorry I have been ill or I would of gotten more up sooner. My Memories Suit Give away...

                     I love all things scrappy and sometimes I don't have time for the hands on stuff and want a nice quick well put together LO to persevere my precious memories, for this I turn to digital. :-) I was on plain digital wrappers CT for well over a year, I enjoyed every minute of it. :-) (fun, loving group over there) I figured this would give everyone an opportunity to make a fabulous page with little effort. Easy for the newbies and the more advanced.
Digital was my only out for LO's when my babies were smaller and it kept me up to date with all there little moments than are must scraps. I printed them all out and placed them in albums and I was happier with some of these more than some of my hands on. :-) Digital has it's own appeal. While I am back more into the touchy feely world it's nice to have that option available to me. I enjoy all aspect of scrapbooking as an art and an outlet for my everyday stress. I have a passion for it. You can also use this software for videos and photo books as well.

Welcome back...back to school LO and a SOUS challenge.

Today I created a page for 2nd grade and wasn't sure what direction I was heading but I wanted to play a bit more with my imagine and just really use it to it's full potential. I also was just recently let in to the beta CCR and have been playing around with it. I can see great things for it. It has a way to go but it's definitely got my creative juices bursting. I mostly used the "I" for this page and am thinking of adding to it a 2nd page. I'll figure that out later. For now it's a single page 12x12 with room to expand. LOL! I started with just a single school bus created with with CCR and the title I created with CCR, the rest was all done with my "I" The base page it a textured pink card stock, the clouds background was made from hopscotch pattern cart and the hills and sun was cute from country life and printed with "I" and made with country carnivals patterns and color pallet. The clouds and kite came from best-friends cart. The bus came from Nate's abc's and the letters were from nursery rhythms :-) I inked most of the die cuts and the sun was spritzed with gold glimmer mist. I also used faux stitching on most of the Die cuts. (White jelly roll pen)

Cricut Imagine LO!

This is my very 1st LO using my imagine. I figured I would try it out. I used Yummy and elegant edges. I used 1 sheet of paper from DCWV sweet stack. This is a page for my daughters 5th birthday Photos. Her birthday is on the 24th of August. I wasn't sure where to go with this so I had no real plan when I started out just a sketch from SOUS.
I saw a LO on the cricut message board and stumbled onto the site. So this is what I ended up with, wasn't sure I liked it at 1st but it's okay for my very 1st one. The imagine take a little getting use to.

So I hope you like it and it encourages you to try something new..

Yesterday was my middle daughters 7th birthday, sigh how the years seem to fly! If you follow my blog you'd know we recently came back form a trip to Walt Disney world. My Ally was very enthralled with the characters and the place in general. So when we went to have her pick her cake she choose Pluto (she got him as a stuffie at the kingdom) and Mickey in a plane flying a banner stating happy birthday ally. :-)

I made this page using a Disney mickey stack from J's
I also used tim holtz distress ink, Jelly roll pen, cricut mickey and friends cart, sophisticated for the banner, birthday bash for the sentiment, yellow and black cardstock, stamps for happy birthday.

My rendition of project BAM part 2

Okay this 3D box gave me a fit. It proved to be quite a challenge getting things to stay glued in place and fit properly. I am very proud of my 1st big 3D project. It's not perfect but it's hand crafted and I LOVE it. It's so me. Lady couture has me written all over it. I just love this stack and the feel it lends to my projects. I have always been about the leopard print. At one point 4 rooms in my house was deck out in leopard. LOL! I have since moved past that and I have nothing in this house leopard print or any animal for that matter. :-)

So, on to the project- If you haven't checked out Paper Phenomenon then you are missing out on some awesome talent. This Woman is a genius, Timmy said so himself (and yes I do mean Tim Holtz). I love her work and her project are just my style. I love her ustreams and I watch them over and over. My box is a bit different than Kat's as I used a different paper line and I decorated mine not using ribbon but my edge punch. I thought it was a better feel for the paper line. I tried some ribbon but nothing I tried suited me; so I stayed with the edge punch. :-) The flowers on my box are from the new cricut cart Flower-Shoppe I have not had a chance to explore this cart much as I just acquired it.(also when I linked it to my G it kinda crashed it- so short of it is I need a new g and PC is sending me another one. So I will be without my friend for a little bit) I used scallop 4 cut a few times in 1/4 increments. (2 and 1/4 being largest) The flowers are inked and spritzed with glimmer mist. (various reds)The centers are adorned with i-rock bling. I cut the flourish from Cindy-Loo and just sized it fit my space using my G. I then wet glued them and sprinkled them with M.S glitter. I then spritzed them with glimmer mist coffee color. The top inside box is a Tim Holtz configuration box. The feet and knob are also a Timmy product. :-) The little bee is a 3d sticker I got from M's out of a grab bag. My box took some time but I am very please with it outcome.

Now, I have to collect some small trinkets to fill the lid with. I was thinking a spool thread for sure. :-)

Ok so I love Kathy from Paper Phenomenon, if you don't have a clue who she is your living under a rock, this woman is FAB! So some of the project I just enjoy watching her make and every once in a moon I will have to try it out for myself. So Project BAM was one of those. I fell in love with DCWV Lady couture stack and decided it's kinda my personality. I made the shopoholic project with Kat with this stack as well. So this post is super photo logged and I hope you like my paper craft porn. lol! (I took most of these photos on my satin sheets)

I still have to make my tags and inserts. I used duck tape for the spine, I rock stones and the flower I made from a piece of cardstock from the collection. I then used gold glimmer mist on it. The punch is a shell punch form ek success. The Corners are Time Holtz. :-) Keep posted for more on this project. I still have a box to make. :-)

I made this card with some chipboard pieces and ribbon, an i-rock get and glitter glue form studio g.

It came together fairly fast as I started out with a plan unlike most of my project. I hope the receiver of this card loves it as much as I loved creating it for her.

Yummy Time!

Teal (or any color of your choosing) Rice Crispy Treats dipped in chocolate and sprinkles.

Recipe is as follows-

What you need

Rice crispies (6 cups)

Semi sweet chocolate chips (12 oz)

sprinkles of your choosing

A bag of marshmallows (about 40 regular sized)

3 tablespoons of butter

1 tablespoons of vegetable oil

1. In large saucepan melt butter over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted. As they are melting add a few drops of food coloring. Remove from heat. Add KELLOGG’S RICE KRISPIES cereal. Stir until well coated.

2. Using buttered spatula or wax paper, evenly press mixture into 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan coated with cooking spray. Cool. Cut into eighteen 3 x 2-inch bars. Push one stick into the bottom of each bar.

3. In small microwave-safe bowl combine chocolate morsels and oil. Microwave on high for 1 to 1 1/2 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds. Dip bars into chocolate and decorate as you like. Place on wax paper lined baking sheet. Refrigerate until chocolate is set. Best if served the same day.

MICROWAVE DIRECTIONS: In microwave-safe bowl heat butter and marshmallows on HIGH for 3 minutes, stirring after 2 minutes. Stir until smooth. Follow steps 2 and 3 above. Microwave cooking times may vary.

Notes:For best results, use fresh marshmallows.

1 jar (7 oz.) marshmallow crème can be substituted for marshmallows.

I would suggest this on any day you wanna have a little fun and a treat. They are very festive and even would be fun for parties.

Today I bring you a card made from my imagine. We have been invited to a surprise party for my hubbies friend and I need a "male" themed card. Which is rare, I don't get to do a lot of "GUY" stuff as I have 3 daughters. :-) So I grabbed my "G' and looked through the imagine stuff, and found this rocket birthday image.
It was perfect! I laid it all out on my g and ran upstairs to print and cut it out. Layered it all up added some glossy accents and a little stickles and I was almost done. I used red cardstock for the base and craft cardstock ran it through my crimpper and glued it down. Added my image and was done. :-) easy, fast and very acceptable. Hope you guys like it. It's a standard A2 card. :-)

Good Morning Everyone,

I have been on a CT team for over a year before but this is the 1st time I ever tried to be on a DT. I am excited and really hope I am chosen. Below the card I made for this challenge will be the complete post from my pink stampers website. :-) It has all the juicy details.

Here is my card- we had to use turquoise, brown, orange, green and a color of our choosing. This at 1st was a bit challenging in it's self but I put my brain to work and came up with the friend card you see below.

Recipe for this card is as follows:

You will need the following supplies: adhesive, glossy accents,white gel pen, from my kitchen cricut cart, elegant edges cricut cart, cuttlebug square embossing folder, stickles. sentiment stamp, foam tape or pop dots, and markers. I used my Gypsy but it is not needed. A cricut however is needed.

cardstock- 3x3 green, 3x3 black, 2x2 white, 4x6 turquoise, 4x6 brown and 5.5x8.5 orange plus a little orange scrap for you sentiment.

I cut the phone layers at 2.7 height, frame at 4.95 height. I then embossed my shadow frame with the square embossing folder. Layered everything and popped up the top frame and the phone and my sentiment. (my sentiment stamp is from the dollar spot at j's) I colored the dial around the phone with an orange and green pro marker. I added glossy accents to the very center. I also added glossy to the sentiment on the front. I used my pens to highlight the phone with dots and lines randomly placed. That's all there is to it. I hope you enjoyed my card.

I had a BLAST looking at our designers' "PAST"!

Okay, so I was suppose to graduate in 1998! I found myself pregnant in December of my 11th grade year. I was totally ill and had to withdraw from school. I was a very good student with a GPA of about 3.5. After I had my beautiful princess I tried to re-enroll in school but they were not being fair. So I said I have a better plan, I went and got my g.e.d and started college the following year. So when I was suppose to be graduating I was throwing a party for my beautiful daughter who was turning 1. Everything worked out for the best and this was what I decided to make.

Recipe-

Dcwv paper, irock gems, white gel pen, Prima mini flowers from tube assortment. (hobby lobby), girl was cute at 4.3 on my imagine using the G and once upon a princess cart, the stamps are from ek success Disney princess set and colored over with costco gel pens. I cut my sentiment spot on edge with a fiskers circle punch size large. The face is a PEACHY KEEN princess face assortment 5/8" . The card is A2 size.

I hope you like my card and my tribute to my beautiful daughter soon to be 14 this month. I would take her over prom, grad night and graduation any day. She has changed my life in ways I never would have imagined.

Cricut Cardz Challenge #81

Welcome back to Cricut Cardz Challenge!

The challenge for this week is to make a card with a cook-out or picnic theme using any colors or cartridges you'd like.

For this challenge I broke out my cricut lite "BLOCK PARTY"

This is the 1st time I have used it. I brought out my "G" and started creating

layers. I looked through my stamps from all my dollar spot raids and found

3 sets I liked so I combined them all and made a cute background. I also used

my studio g ink pads. (I rarely use these) I also used my Imagine to create a smaller background paper (hopscotch cart) and word bubble. My card needed to be 5x7 in order to get everything t0 fit right. My party girl was cut at 4.5 and I used scrap paper from my scrap stash. I used the smallest peachy keen princess assortment stamp. I also outlined my words with costco gel pens and did doodling with a white gel pen.

Frosted Designs B&W +1 color challenge

I am here with a challenge from Frosted Designs.

This really was a challenge, It sounds easy right? Ha ha try it.

So I pondered a bit and decided on Purple as my color. I tried to make a simple card look fab...I am not sure if I like the outcome or not.

I really wanted purple glitter on my card, but what I had pictured in my mind never came to fruition! If anyone know a glue stamp pad that actually works please let me know because I have not found one yet. I used palette and let me tell HUGE disappointment.

So this is what my end result looks like-

Thought it needed more so I added the white doodles. :-)

Recipe is as follows-

Black cardstock cut to A2 size

White and purple cut with elegant edges on my "G"

flower cut with sizzix die and glittered with Martha purple fine glitter. (I hate that glitter)

irock stone

doodle white gel pen

stamps from dollar bin and friskers

colored the stamps with costco gel pens.

Welcome to Whimsical Wednesday Challenge # 12. This week our challenge is to create a patriotic card/project and you must include Brads, Bling, or Buttons.

I to created a card for the peachy keen challenge but it is such a cute card. I just loved how it turned out.

I also rounded the corners with a punch. Last I added some clear irock stones. Gotta love the bling. (the cake is a cut from simply charmed cut at around 3.4 inches)

Artful Delight June sketch challenge..ASC9

I normally don't do sketches but I figured I would give it a whirl....So I scouted out some paper and got to work. I challenged myself to use some paper in my stash that I haven't used in a while.

This is my LO and I like to get as many photos on the page, I hardly ever do 1 photos LO's so this did prove to be quite a challenge for me.

Recipe for this page is as follows-
craft cardstock for the base 3 sweet stack fruit papers, 1 small sweet stack paper in green, yellow, red, and cream. I used irock bling on my title. I also took a gold pro marker and went around the title. The title is cut from heritage (7 in) and the strawberries(2.5) are cut form preserves. I used costco gel pens to do my doodles.

So I have a house full of girls and we just got back from Disney so this card is inspired by our vacation.
I used my G to wield the card base together at the top. I decided to go with pink and blue the colors of the castle after the fireworks show.

Yesterday was st Patrick's day and I was inspired by cricut diaries blog to make cupcakes for the girls. I know I can't have them due to my strict 500 calorie diet but I so wanted to make them and they smelled SOOOO yummy.
here they are and a few outfits I made for the occasion as well. :-)

I have a few other sewing projects in the works, I also completed a patch skirt and am fixing to embroider

cherries on the top then it will be complete, I am working on outfits form our trip to Disney. Can't wait oh and autograph book as well. I am busy busy busy...Thinking about making myself a dress for formal photos or my 10 year anniversary. can't wait. It's going to be a blast...

I never felt that i have done a great job with my mini albums. I am working on one now that I feel is my
best yet. I hope you like it; it is a work in progress. I made the book and did the binding. I really like sweet nectar paper pack form k and company. So I bought a 12x12 stack and a 6x6 stack.

here is my album so far. Keep in mind I am a card maker and a scrapbooker. Mini's have never came out very well for me. (It's made with mini celebrate it bags)

I made this card for my daughter's 1st grade sub who has had the kids pretty much since the beginning of the year actual teach was out on maternity leave. She was the best sub my daughter could of had. Young and energetic. She a real great teacher and she seems to take interest in the students. I made this card to let her know how much I appreciate this as a parent. I mean she spends the majority of most days with my daughter.

I will be slipping a 10.00 gift card in as well. She deserves it and NEEDS to know she is appreciated. It's the little things ya know.

My card for today...Flower pot birthday card.

Today I have made a card for my neighbor. I just discovered these cards this morning. I was checking out the sizzix dies and knew there had to be another way and well split coast stampers come through again.

I have and idea to add a twist to it. :-) I will make another one and post it soon. (Mothers day card) I really like this card concept and may try to figure out other shapes to get sorta the same effect. :-)

so this means birthday card making time....I used the sweet stack and my Imagine to make a card for my friend
Joy. She is a wonderful gal and my super woman. This girl can hold the weight of the world on her shoulders and still not break her stride in 6inch hill. I am telling you, she is on bright, intelligent, beautiful strong woman and for that I give her props. She will most likely never see this but she is who I will aspire to be like. No other words could describe her a best as AMAZING!

So here is the card I made for her birthday. I am still learning my imagine. So nothing is inked or embossed it's pretty much pop dotted right out of the imagine. I used a piece of pink cardstock and the piece of red printed cardstock is from the sweet stack and the balloons are printed from the yummy imagine cart. (THIS IS MY FAVORITE CART SO FAR) the cake and the sentiment is also from yummy. The cake is cut at 3.5 inches, the square with balloons is a square cut a 4.0 inches. The sentiment is also cut at 3.5 inches.

I hope you enjoy the pics. I had a video request and as soon as I get another tripod. (ugh yes kids broke this one too) I will make some videos for you guys. I am not a good editor yet though but I will work on that. :-)

Guess who got an Imagine? Imagine that!

YES! It came yesterday around 2pm. It took all day to set up and get something made. I have projects and video and pictures to share but 1st my inital review of this product.

It's no expression that's for sure. I can only say it's very different. I love some aspects of it but not others and it will NEVER replace my E. It's fun to play with. I did make some really pretty cards today but they do have a store bought appeal to them. I am not sure if i like that or not, lol!

I think if PC makes those future updates as promised they may be onto something but until then it's just something different for me. The ink colors do leave something to be desired for pastels. They are way to light. The bright colors are nice though. I have made 4 cards so far, my last 3 I did like my 1st one not so much. There is a learning curve as to what to print and how many. I can see the layers
getting pretty thick.

The mat is another thing, I am ot a fan in fact I tried all the trick and prayed the whole time it wouldn't come unstuck and on the last thing it did, I shut the power off quick before it ruined my page and cut the box the old fashioned way. I am going to try some tacky spray. :-)

I can also see a ton of ink being used with the machine. I guess I will be saving cash for ink now.
I am however going to try to refill the carts 1st and see if that works.

now for some photos of my cards I made earlier this month, with V-day just around the corner I am in the mood for love.

The 2 cards made with Cricut Lite Celebrate Flourish.

What you need- cricut imagine country carnival adhesive white 8.5x11 card stock Black card stock 4.25x 8.5 foam squares or pop dots I printed and cut the box stock shape with news paper/rose pattern @ 5in cut it down to 5x4 picked the letters l o v e and changed the color pattern to desired pattern fill. Choose base letters. printed and cut the base letters l o v e 2 times printed the bottom image of the letters l o v e with the newly changed pattern. Letters and bottoms were cut at 1 inch. printed ad cut 4 bonus flowers also at 1 inch printed and cut single rose at 3 inches. I folded black card stock in half long ways forming the base of my A2 card. layered my news/rose print on front centered. I adhered my rose in bottom center of new/rose print. I layered my flowers on top of each other with foam square and pop dotted them in each top corner. I layered my letters with foam squares placed between each layer. Placed them on foam squares in and arch shape over the rose. complete and beautiful!

This is my very 1st time participating in any kind of a challenge, So I thought I would give it a try. So here is the challenge.

THE CHALLENGE

Xs and Os!

Valentine's Day is right around the corner and one of the most celebrated "Hallmark" holidays during the year! Let's "one up" Hallmark though ('cause they got nothin' on a handmade card or gift), and create a Peachified valentine using X's & O's somewhere on our projects! X's and O's don't have to be the main focus on your project, but should be the evident theme of your project.

sentiment stamp studio g ($1.00 stamp from JA's)
Face from Peachy keen every day stamp set (5/8 size)

I hope you all are inspired by my card. I wanted something not traditional and saw this little scarecrow
on the SC cart and had to use it, I knew I had the perfect sentiment to go with her.

I don't know how my youtube confused my blogs but this is information on my diet and what I have been doing. My scrapping gets in those diet videos too, guess it's coming full circle. LOL! I will be doing a personal mini album on my weight loss marathon. :-) So here this a sorry and thank you in advance.

I am working on some scrapbook pages and have finished a few cards and also we are planning a Disney trip so I am working on all those characters and some of them are so (what the word) intricate. Tiny tiny pieces and lots of them. :-)

Back on track and some updates on me

Hello all you crafty peeps!

I am back to myself. So many things are a changing. I have more free time now, I put my middle girl is 1st grade and she is loving all the interaction with the other kids. Now I have me time and Alijah time to. I feel more spread out and feel I have more time for the things I enjoy.
Diet update if you not following on the hcg blog. I have lost 26 pounds and 18.5 inches and am keeping it off. This makes me feel so happy and healthy. I plan another round in January to get rid of the rest of the weight then I should be at goal. :-) So, I just sent in a e-mail to peachy keen stamps as they are having a DT guest spot call. Wish me luck this would be an awesome opportunity for me. God works in many ways and I feel my life is so perfect right now. Very balanced...The only thing missing is Carrissa my lil artist. She will be home for the next 4 years starting in June. YAH!!!! She is quite and artist too. I look forward to spending many hours in my craft studio with her. I might start a Christmas series here on my blog. I need to make 10 cards for my closest family and friends. I figure I can make one a day and post here. :-) We shall see. Feel free to comment and sub to my blog.

Break from the life I love.

so as you may have noticed my absence over the past few months. I really needed to step back and set better priorities in my life. My life was a mess. My husband and I were not connected fully the kids needed me and it seemed the house was the only thing truely getting my attention. my daughter was here for the summer and I spent much needed time with her. So now schools back in and im investing all my time into them. I believe you get out what you put in. So now my house is going to hello but at least the kids are learning.
Now personally I'm going through my own personal challenge I've been struggling with my weight for about 8 years now. I lost 35 pounds on weight watchers and it took 3 months and gained it all back. ALL OF IT! I tried low calories and exercise and it about killed me. I was a moody birch and making everyone around me that way too. Fast forward to now. I am dieting again
with what seems like much success and not at the expense of my families feelings. I have a blog going called hcg diet hell you can check out if your interested. This is my miracle. God sent this to me. I'm down to 182.3 from 190.9 and it feels great. So hopefully by December I can get back to the life I love. Thank you for your support in my future endeavors.

This is one of my favorite kits, I love the pretty blue palette. This is a great kit!

A short video of my Christmas card to my hubby. Also one I made and couldn't part with...
I made these cards with sweethearts, winter woodland and joys of the seasons cartridges..

My video is a bit shaky sorry I am looking for the tripod. We moved recently and I am looking for a lot of missin things.. :-) I will also do a post on my new craft room that I am very proud of. It isn't huge but it is a huge improvement from the dinning room table. ;-)
